Can you put artificial trees on the balcony?.

Do you have a lovely balcony and want to give it some atmosphere? Then artificial trees are a perfect solution: you create your own green garden up high. But can you place artificial trees on a balcony, and what should you watch out for? Some handy tips.

Which artificial tree is suitable for a balcony?

There are imitation trees for large balconies and for small ones, because fake trees are available in many different sizes. Choose an artificial tree of up to 2 metres for a large balcony, for example, or small artificial trees in pots for a limited space.

In many cases the sun reaches your balcony, certainly if it faces south. So you can perfectly well place artificial trees on the balcony, provided they can handle the sun's rays. Make sure, then, to choose a premium UV-resistant artificial tree.

An olive tree, for instance, or a flowering orange or lemon tree. In that case you can be sure that the foliage and the trunk stand up to the weather and to UV radiation. The leaves do not fade and keep their natural appearance and sheen.
