How long do artificial plants last?.

How long can you enjoy artificial plants? Have you bought a handsome artificial plant or tree? Then you can count on a long lifespan. That lifespan does depend on good care and on the environment the imitation plants are in, such as the balcony, the living room or the office. With these tips your artificial plants will last a long time.

Which factors affect the lifespan of artificial plants?

You have given your home workspace beautiful artificial plants or brightened the living room with artificial trees, such as imitation olive trees or a lemon tree. You want to enjoy them for as long as possible. The lifespan of fake plants depends on good maintenance and on a few factors: sunlight, the type of room and the material of the plant.

1. How dusty a room is

The dustier a room, the more often artificial plants need cleaning to extend their lifespan. Offices, garages and garden houses in particular can be dusty.

2. The quality of the artificial plants

If you want your artificial plants to last, it is also important to go for quality. The best artificial plants are made from high-grade plastics and are often UV-resistant too. That means they do not fade if you want to put them outdoors.

3. Weather-resistant or not

Do you want outdoor artificial plants to last a long time? Then always choose UV-resistant fake plants or imitation trees. The material stands up to the weather, but also to the sun's rays. That prevents fading and extends the lifespan.

4. Maintenance and cleaning

How long do artificial plants last? That certainly depends on maintenance as well. Clean your fake plants regularly with a soft cloth to remove dust. Artificial plants can be washed: wipe the foliage with a damp cloth using soapy water and washing-up liquid.
