Artificial fern: one of the oldest plant families in the world
Ferns belong to the class Polypodiopsida and are one of the oldest plant groups on earth. The first ferns appeared around 360 million years ago, well before the dinosaurs. There are more than 10,500 species today. Unlike most plants, ferns do not reproduce by seed but by spores, which you can see as small brown dots on the underside of the fronds.
Ferns grow naturally in shaded, damp surroundings. That makes them difficult as real plants indoors. The dry air of central heating is their worst enemy, and brown leaf tips and withering fronds are the result.
The NeverLeafs artificial fern
Our artificial ferns are available as a hanging plant and as a standing version up to 100 cm. The fine, feathery fronds are reproduced in detail. Every leaflet has natural colour variation, from light to dark green.
An artificial fern is the ideal plant for places where real plants struggle: the bathroom, the hallway, on top of a cupboard, or a corner without daylight. The plant needs no water, no sunlight and no humidity.
The hanging fern looks good on a high shelf, in a macrame hanger or on a kitchen cupboard. The standing version suits a side table or sideboard.
Do artificial ferns need maintenance? Hardly any. Dust the fronds with a soft cloth or feather duster. With the fine leaf structure of a fern, a soft brush works best. The plant comes with a plastic inner pot.
Suitable for people with allergies: artificial plants produce no pollen. Free delivery from 50 euros.
